KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A new KC2026 FIFA World Cup countdown clock is coming to downtown Lee's Summit ahead of next summer's matches in Kansas City.
According to the city of Lee's Summit, the second of two World Cup countdown clocks joins an identical one in Overland Park. The clocks will count down the time by the seconds until June 11, when the World Cup begins in Mexico City.
The clocks feature Kansas City's own host city branding, standing 10 feet tall and 12 feet wide in Lee's Summit's new outdoor area, Green Street.
The city also says that fans, visitors and residents can join in on the excitement, tagging their photos on social media with the hashtags #WeAre26 and #WeAreKansasCity.
