Alberta's government has announced that immunization appointments for Albertans at risk of severe outcomes from COVID-19 will begin Oct. 1 for Phase 1 of the vaccine rollout.

In Phase 2, appointments for all other Albertans, pending vaccine availability, are expected to begin on Oct. 20.

Appointments will remain open for booking for those in both phases as long as supplies last or until the end of the respiratory virus season.

Those who are immunized during Phase 2 must pay a $100 administration fee, while Phase 1 provides free vaccines to eligible Albertans.
