LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- Lansing Mayor Andy Schor condemned a Thursday night shooting that left three teenagers wounded on Wilson Avenue, just south of Capital Region International Airport.
"I’m happy to hear that the young people involved are okay, and I know that LPD will aggressively seek the shooter or shooters," Schor said in a statement Friday. He thanked groups such as Advanced Peace for helping "prevent retaliation."
Police said boys aged 16, 17 and 19 were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Officers from Lansing, DeWitt, East Lansing and the Michigan State Police converged on the 3800 block of Wilson Avenue around 8:30 p.m., blocking roads and searching the area with flashlights.
