Tickets went on sale Friday for “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” the opening show for the 62nd season at Brownsville’s Camille Playhouse, which is inviting audiences to travel the globe and their soul “discovering love, murder, gambling, mystery and heartbreak.”
The opening show is about the Romani people, often referred to in a derogatory way. Based on the 1996 Disney film and Victor Hugo’s 1831 novel, “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” tells the story of Quasimodo, the hunchbacked bell-ringer of Notre Dame, and his desire to one day be a part of the outside world.
