UPDATE 5PM (8/22) -- An armed robber stole over $4,000 from a bank in the Village of Addison Friday morning, according to the Steuben County Sheriff's Office.

It happened shortly after 10:30 a.m. at the First Heritage Federal Credit Union on Steuben St.

A suspect entered the financial institution, displayed a suspected gun and demanded money from the bank. They walked out with over $4,000 in cash. No weapon was fired and no one was hurt in the incident, according to law enforcement.

Investigators say they are looking for a thin white male in a black hoodie and dark facial hair. He was possibly wearing a blonde wig at the time of the robbery. The suspect was last seen traveling on east on foot towards Main St. along the Canisteo River dyke.
