PROSPECT LEFFERTS GARDENS — A 12-STORY, 99-unit residential building is slated for construction on church-owned land in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, reports the Commercial Observer .
Charles Wurzberger, president of Candor Capital, submitted an application with the Department of Buildings for 331 Maple St., where the Roman Catholic Church of St. Francis of Assisi and St. Blaise owns the property. The project would replace the parish center at 335 Maple St., formerly St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy, according to PincusCo.
The proposed 97,877-square-foot building, designed by J Frankl Architects, would also include 24,418 square feet of community facility space. Candor has not confirmed whether it plans to purchase the land.
