SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) -- Haitian residents in Springfield are reporting frustrations as they work to find solutions ahead of a looming deadline.

There are just six months to go before Feb. 3, 2026, when thousands of migrants will lose their temporary protective status. As the deadline looms, many in Springfield are left to wonder what their future holds.

At the local Haitian Support Center, employees are working around the clock to find solutions for the many Haitians who call Springfield home.

"I think that the current feeling is that folks are still in some type of confusion," said Viles Dorsainvil, Haitian Support Center executive director.
