LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Say goodbye to the 90s... at least for now and welcome in some fall like temperatures ahead of schedule.

Starting on Saturday mid 70s to low 80s are expected with low to upper 70s on Sunday.

This is all due to a cold front moving across the state, which is firing up some storms Friday afternoon. Some of those storms could be severe with damaging winds and large hail being the main concerns this evening and perhaps into the early overnight hours.

Outside of a shower/storm hanging around early Saturday most of the day will be quiet in eastern Nebraska. To the west rain could continue into the early afternoon. Another chance for showers and storms is in place Sunday, but it won’t be a washout this weekend.
