LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - With a weak front moving towards SWLA, drier times are ahead this weekend though we’ll still be very warm.

Rain chances will drop this weekend as a weak cool front brings slightly lower humidity. We still may see a couple pop-up storms take place, though chances for that will be higher in Cameron Parish or at the coast, and very low north of I-10. Temps will rebound into the low-to-mid 90’s, but the direr air should keep the heat index from climbing too much.

Sunday and Monday appear to be even drier, but that also means temperatures will likely return to the mid 90’s away from the coast. Stay cool if you enjoy time outside!
