BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Southern is less than 24 hours from opening their season against North Carolina Central in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge.

The Jaguars go into Atlanta as a 9.5-point underdog to the Eagles. Experience, specifically offensive personnel, might be the reason for those odds.

While Southern has questions about their starting quarterback, running back, and a few pieces on the offensive line, NC Central returns starters at all of those groups. Yes, that includes all five offensive line starters from last season.

Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. Central time on ABC.
