SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A strong August cold front promises to bring a prolonged stretch of below average temperatures to the ArkLaTex starting next week!

For tonight, we are looking quiet and comfortable with drier air that has arrived from the north. Under a clear sky, temperatures will fall into the upper 60s in many areas with a few spots still in the low 70s.

The weekend looks sunny and hot with highs both Saturday and Sunday into the upper 90s. The good news is that humidity will stay lower making it feel more comfortable.
