LEESBURG, Va. — A Bedford man is facing unlawful filming charges after he allegedly “upskirted” multiple victims at a Leesburg Target store.
Leesburg Police identified four victims from the store and identified the suspect as Tate Dietrich, 36, of Bedford.
Police responded to the store after a report of a man filming people. When they arrived at the store at 1200 Edwards Ferry Road NE, the suspect had already left.
On Aug. 11, multiple agencies, including the Leesburg Police Department, searched Dietrich’s home. He was arrested by Bedford Police in connection with incidents that occurred in Bedford and Roanoke County stores.
Evidence collected during the search led to Leesburg Police leveling charges against Dietrich on Aug. 21.
He is currently held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail in
