Update - 4:40 p.m.: According to information from the Santa Barbara County Fire Department's Assistant Public Information Officer's account on Twitter/ X, forward progress on the fire was stopped at 3:56 p.m.

County Fire also reported that the fire consumed approximately 10 acres, and crews are working on reopening the number one lanes on both the southbound and northbound sides of Highway 101.
