GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The City of Grand Junction, alongside the Skateboard Alliance, will host the first Wild West Skate Fest to celebrate western Colorado's skateboarding culture on Saturday, Sept. 13, at Emerson Skate Park, located at 301 South 10th Street.

The festival will feature skateboarding competitions for all skill levels, with prizes awarded in each division. To sign up, interested participants can either pre-register online until Thursday, Sept. 11, or in person on the day of the event from 11 a.m. to noon. The first division will begin at noon and competitions will last until 5 p.m.

Additionally, the event will feature music, food trucks, live mural artwork and booths from community businesses.
