In the 2024 season opener, Northrop and New Haven combined for 101 points as the Bruins claimed a shootout victory. On Friday night in New Haven, the Bruins showed their offensive punch again, but the Northrop defense also flexed its muscle as the Bruins claimed a 41-0 victory.

David Callison threw for five touchdowns for Northrop (1-0), all before halftime, while Robert Rembert IV’s 3-yard touchdown run for the Bruins accounted for the only points in the second half. Ohio State commit Jerquaden Guilford caught two of Callison’s touchdown passes.
