ANDOVER, Kan. (KSNW) -- Andover football is entering its second season under head coach Jamie Cruce, who exceeded expectations in 2024.

He led the Trojans to a 4-5 record in his first year as head coach, finishing with a .500 record in the AVCTL. IT was a big turnaround from a 0-9 season in 2023.

"It was a great motivator for us because it was a breakout season," said Andover senior wide receiver Gatlin Tilson.

"You see the massive improvement going from 0-9 to 4-5," said Aaron Kimball, Andover senior inside linebacker. "Just the mentality and practice and all that has picked up a ton."

Coach Cruce says the biggest lesson the players learned was how to compete.
