Nebraska fans filled Canopy Street for the AVCA Block Party ahead of the season opener against No. 3-ranked Pittsburgh on Friday.

"Dani is the best choice they could have had for John Cook, so we're super stoked," one fan said about new head coach Dani Busboom Kelly.

Other fans wore jerseys of their favorite players, current and former.

"Lexi Rodriguez was my favorite player. I'm really sad she's leaving," Sami Hynek said.

When asked how the season will go, many fans responded with hopeful predictions for the Huskers.
