Saucon Valley 42, Bangor 21 — Rapid Recap

The Saucon Valley High School football team scored the first 28 points on Friday night to open its season against visiting Bangor .

The Slaters trimmed the Panthers’ advantage to 14 points, but it wasn’t enough as Braden Rohn -led Saucon Valley clinched a 42-21 victory.

The Panthers junior quarterback rushed for three touchdowns and passed for another score in the win.

Turning points : Saucon Valley sophomore running back Eli Szlachtianshyn ran for a 20-yard with 4:50 left in the second quarter to extend the Panthers’ lead to 28-0.
