SANDOVAL COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A hypersonic missile manufacturer is considering building a facility in Sandoval County. If the California-based company Castelion chooses New Mexico, it could bring hundreds of high-paying jobs to the state.
Castelion is eyeing a stretch of Paseo del Volcán and aims to build on a thousand acres of land in Sandoval County. Officials said it could generate more than $650 million in economic output over the next decade.
Two other sites outside of New Mexico could also be chosen, but company officials did not disclose which ones.
