Isolated rain and thunderstorms will return to the northern half of New Mexico this weekend. Even more monsoon moisture will bring widespread storms and cooler temperatures next week.

Fewer storms popped up Friday afternoon, mainly in western and northern New Mexico, along with southwest Colorado. The heat continued today too with high temperatures above average for this time of year. Farmington tied a record high of 99° today. Storms are ending tonight with clearing skies and mild overnight low temperatures.
