For the past 48 years, the Jefferson Ruritan Club has awarded college scholarships to area high school seniors. In 2025, six students were awarded $2000 each.

The scholarship recipients are Audra Asbury, who will attend West Virginia University; Alexander (AJ) Atkinson, who will attend West Virginia University; Taylor Fry, who will attend the University of Delaware; Rachel Johansen, who will attend Frederick Community College; Alexyah Partyka, who will attend the University of Texas at Arlington; and Sydney Williams, who will attend the University of Maryland.
