First, I want to thank those who don’t just read the headlines.

I appreciate those who after reading the headlines venture into the stories and don’t stop until they land on that last period in that last sentence.

Some people who don’t subscribe many times might just read a headline, maybe in a social media post, and then post a comment with a question that’s answered in the first paragraph of the story.

Others might read the headline and then automatically assume something.

I talked this week to a loyal subscriber who received some phone calls, because of his job, from those who were only reading the headline of a particular story.
