High school football picks for every Week 1 game, including Mayor's Cup

The toughest week to pick high school football games is always Week 1, but that's not going to stop our high school reporters from giving it a try.

There are some fascinating matchups to start the season with an 11-game slate that features 14 of the 15 desert teams in action (La Quinta kicks off next week). There's the Mayor's Cup between Indio and Shadow Hills and our two small schools take on teams from the Sun Valley League and the Desert Valley League in matchups that have never happened before.
