A woman posted she saw a young cougar very close to her in Novi this week, at West Road and West Park.
The Michigan DNR encourages reporting such sightings, even when they don't have photographic or video evidence. But they added that there's little to no evidence of cougars in the Lower Peninsula.
Cougars aren't thought to live in the Lower Peninsula; certainly not around Novi.
But a woman posted to Facebook that she saw one recently in that Oakland County city, and she's pretty sure of it.
