A dance and gymnastics studio is set to open in a former smokehouse, to offer a space for ‘others to grow’. Galaxy Dance and Gymnastics founders Zara May, Vicki Lucy and Jasmine Reeve are already running classes six days a week at Ashford ’s Stour Centre, but the friends said they wanted to own a space in Kent to run more sessions.

The new venue is located at the former DJB Smokehouse site in Park Street which closed in just five months. Explaining the reasons for choosing this location Jasmine told KentLive: “The previous business that wasn’t successful was a bar and restaurant which is completely different to what we offer.
