Two Kent beaches have been named among the 'dirtiest' in the UK, according to new research. While the dirtiest beach -Skegness Beach in Lincolnshire - is located miles away from the Garden of England, it was closely followed by a Kent beach.
The new research carried out by plastic waste specialists at BusinessWaste.co.uk has highlighted the issue of litter left behind after vast crowds gather, the Mirror reports. And Kent has not been spared from the problem.
Margate Main Sands was found to be the UK's second most littered beach. It was followed by Formby Beach in Merseyside. Coming in at ninth place, another beach in Kent was identified by experts as one of the 'dirtiest' in the country - Botany Bay in Broadstairs .
