One person was injured during a shooting near a high school football game in Mayfield Friday night.

The season-opening Graves County/Mayfield game was suspended after gunshots were heard near the stadium in the fourth quarter.

According to the Mayfield Police Department, the shooting happened in a parking area adjacent to the War Memorial football stadium.

They said one adult victim was taken to an area hospital and later flown to an out-of-state medical center for treatment.
