Iam saddened to hear of the recent passing of North Dakota Republican Rep. Cindy Schreiber-Beck, of Wahpeton. She was well respected, while displaying common sense, dignity and fairness. Schreiber-Beck was a passionate and strong advocate for education, the North Dakota State College of Science, agriculture and aviation.

What struck me about Schreiber-Beck was how well she worked with Alisa Mitskog, the other representative in her district. Mitskog is a Democrat. The two of them put aside their partisan differences and worked strongly together to do what’s best for their district. They were also friends. We need more of that.
