Voters in Mecklenburg County can now cast their early ballots for the primary municipal election.
Mail-in ballots were sent out last week, and in-person voting is now underway.
Early voters tell WCCB that every ballot matters.
“When we vote, we need to understand we are taking control of our community. We are living in a society now where everything we do is going to be important. Economically, politically, education, housing, all the way to change that is by voting for candidates that support the issues that exist.”
The last day for early voting is Sept. 6 ahead of the primary election day on Sept. 9.
Mecklenburg County’s General Municipal Election will be held on Nov. 4.
