A former state attorney predicted that not only will Ghislaine Maxwell be pardoned by President Donald Trump, but said exactly when such a pardon would take place.

Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex-trafficking charges related to Jeffrey Epstein, who was also facing sex-trafficking charges until his death in 2019. Epstein was alleged to have operated a blackmail operation targeting powerful figures, and Maxwell to have been Epstein’s accomplice.

Trump has been caught up in scandal over his past ties with both Epstein and Maxwell and, in an effort to quell the uproar, particularly among his own base, a key member of his administration, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, recently interviewed Maxwell with the DOJ now releasing the transcripts and audio of their conversations .

“As to what (Maxwell) wants, she wants a pardon,” said Dave Aronberg, former state attorney for Palm Beach, Florida,on MSNBC.

“It's been dangled towards her, and, I do think she probably gets it at the end of this administration because she gave Trump everything he wanted in that transcript! There's nothing else for her to do in her minimum security prison except perhaps wait for, hopefully, in her mind, a pardon.”

Speculation has grown that Trump may offer Maxwell a pardon in exchange for information that exonerates – or at least appears to exonerate – him for any wrongdoing as it relates to Epstein. One expert suggested Trump may offer Maxwell a pardon in exchange for damaging information on his political opponents, including former President Bill Clinton.

“She does have her appeal pending before the Supreme Court, but her best chance of getting sprung from prison is through Donald Trump,” Aronberg continued.

“He pardoned Steve Bannon on the eve of his leaving office, why wouldn't he pardon Ghislaine Maxwell? Trump doesn't care about the Republican Party, he wants to award those who are good to him; he's transactional.”
