DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) - One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash in DeKalb County on Saturday.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened in the 2200 block of County Road 60 around 2 a.m.
An preliminary investigation indicates that a truck was traveling westbound on County Road 60 when it crossed over a bridge, left the roadway, and struck a large tree. Speed is believed to be a factor.
The driver, 22-year-old Riley Murphy of Indianapolis, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
