BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Drier air moving in from the north will lower humidity and rain chances, setting up a hot but less humid weekend and start to the workweek.

WEEKEND FORECAST

Drier conditions are expected this weekend due to a drop in humidity behind a stalled boundary. Temperatures will climb to the low 90s for the afternoon high and stray storm is possible this afternoon, but most of the rain will be confined to coastal areas.

Sunday will be a bit hotter, but it will feel less oppressive thanks to lower humidity as the stalled front in the region shifts farther south.

HUMIDITY RELIEF

Temperatures will stay hot, with highs in the low to mid 90s. The influx of drier air will lower humidity levels, keeping the heat index out of the triple digits.
