The Pickett Fire near Calistoga in Napa County, which reportedly threatened wineries and vineyards in the region, has consumed over 4,000 acres and prompted evacuation orders as of Saturday, Aug. 23.
The blaze has grown to 4,690 acres and is 7% contained, according to a Cal Fire incident update as of 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23.
The agency said late the previous day that firefighting efforts were set to continue overnight, both in the air and on the ground. Although the Pickett Fire grew in size, it remained within control lines, officials said on Aug. 22.
More than a thousand personnel have responded to the blaze in California's Wine Country.
