HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A motorcyclist was transported to the hospital in critical condition following a crash on the H1 Freeway.

On Friday at about 12:27 a.m. it was reported to Honolulu police that a 19-year-old female motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on the H1 Freeway at a high rate of speed when she sideswiped a 28-year-old male motorist and his 29-year-old female passenger, lost control, and was ejected onto the roadway.

As a result of the collision, the 19-year-old female motorcyclist was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Police said she was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

The 28-year-old male motorist and his 29-year-old female passenger remained at the scene and were not injured as a result of the collision.
