HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A motorcyclist was ejected onto the roadway following a collision with another motorcycle.

On Friday, at about 5 p.m. a critical collision involving two motorcycles took place on Farrington Highway, west of Makua Valley Road in Makaha area.

Officials reported that a 32-year-old male motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Farrington Highway when he was rear-ended by a 34-year-old male motorcyclist.

Honolulu police said as a result of the collision, the 34-year-old man was ejected onto the roadway and subsequently transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

The 34-year-old was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

Police said the 32-year-old male motorcyclist refused treatment at the scene.
