KETV and Thrasher Foundation Repair are kicking off another year of Cash in for Schools grants. Every month, we'll present a $2,500 check to a school or teacher in need.
The 2025-26 school year kicks off with Betz Elementary in Bellevue.
"I was pulling in my driveway and I saw the notification for the email and it said, 'Congratulations,'" said Principal Molly Koehler. "I could not believe it. So overjoyed."
This week, Thrasher Foundation Repair and KETV dropped by to present the check to Koehler and a group of students and educators.
Koehler submitted the grant application to buy eight sets of earbuds and accessories. But these aren't just any earbuds. They'll provide real-time translations to Betz's English as a Second Language students.
