LINCOLN, Neb. —

Lincoln police are investigating a deadly crash.

The incident happened on Saturday at 8 p.m. in the area of N 48th Street and Leighton Avenue.

The preliminary investigation found a white 2014 Chevrolet Traverse pulled out of a parking lot when she struck a northbound motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, who was identified as a 61-year-old man, was taken to the hospital where he later died.

He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

The 29-year-old driver of the SUV was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
