COLUMBIA, Mo. — The final stage of Missouri’s quarterback battle is here. The fourth quarter, if you will.
Spring ball was the first quarter, from which Beau Pribula and Sam Horn emerged as the contenders to be Mizzou’s next starting quarterback. Summer OTAs, always unlikely to have settled the battle, were the second quarter. Fall camp was the third.
This week is the finale, and there will be no overtime.
Pribula and Horn will both play in the Tigers’ season opener against Central Arkansas, which kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Thursday on the SEC Network and KTRS 550AM. Presumably, they’ll alternate opportunities in some capacity, whether that split is by half, by quarter, by drive or something else entirely.
