A funfair has been closed after a person was seriously hurt.
The emergency services were called out to the Spanish City Summer Funfair in Whitley Bay, in the North East. An air ambulance also responded.
The ambulance service confirmed a person was 'seriously injured', Chronicle Live reports . The funfair was busy with families for the bank holiday weekend but the site was closed until further notice, following the incident just before 2.15pm today.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service landed on the grass next to the funfair and quickly rushed to help the injured person.
