CHAMPION TWP., Ohio - After two years of work behind the scenes, Carney Wagyu Cattle Ranch is finally opening its brick-and-mortar location in Champion on Saturday.

Featuring 100% full blooded wagyu beef items, Mike Carney, owner of the establishment, is excited to allow customers to come into the store and find exactly the kind of high-quality food they're looking for.

"We're gonna be one of the first butcher shops, if not the first butcher shop, in the United States to carry the authentic wagyu label from the USDA," says Mike Carey, owner of Carney Wagyu Cattle Ranch.

This means they've tracked the ancestry of each cow they butcher back at least five generations, ensuring each ancestor is 100% wagyu, according to USDA standards.
