Scotland's first Primark shop has finally resolved the argument over how to say the retailer's name – with an amusing rebrand to celebrate half a century on our high streets.
To mark the anniversary, the chain has finally confirmed that Scots have been saying Primark right all along.
The chain chose to mark 50 years of Primark in Scotland with a 'Preemark' makeover, which has emerged overnight across all 21 of its outlets north of the border.
Primark launched its inaugural Scottish branch in Hamilton in 1975 and the complete 'Preemark' shop transformation is now active there – alongside Edinburgh Princes Street and Glasgow's Argyle Street – plus entertaining 'Preemark' themed window displays in its remaining 18 Scottish branches throughout the nation.
