GRESHAM, Ore. — Over 400 registered nurses at Legacy Mount Hood will vote on a tentative agreement after authorizing a strike last week.

According to the Oregon Nurses Association (ONA), the tentative agreement heads to the 440 nurses for a ratification vote after a marathon mediation session.

“We’re proud to care for patients at Legacy Mt. Hood and serve the East County community. This tentative agreement demonstrates a real commitment to frontline caregivers, patients, and our community as a whole. If ratified, this contract will help recruit and retain nurses and ensure our patients receive the care they need and deserve,” said Jenni Suarez, a nurse at Legacy Mt. Hood and ONA bargaining team member, in a statement.
