PORTLAND, Ore. — A teenage boy was arrested on Friday in relation to a house fire in Northwest Portland that heavily damaged the home.

At around 4:40 p.m. on Aug. 22, crews from Portland Fire and Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue (TVF&R) responded to a reported residential fire at the 1700 block of Northwest Potters Court. TVF&R arrived to find a two-story home on fire with heavy flames coming from the garage. All residents were already out of the home at the time, officials said.

Firefighters were able to quickly able to knock down the main body of fire but had to deal with fire coming from a vehicle in the garage. Crews were then able to identify a hole on the second story and began to attack the fire with repositioned hose lines.
