WATERTOWN, Wis. (WKOW) – A woman suffered serious injuries after being attacked by four dogs while walking near Milford Street and Cobblestone Way on Saturday.
Watertown police responded to the scene at approximately 5:55 a.m. after receiving a 911 call about the attack.
Officers found the woman with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. As they attempted to assist her, the dogs charged at the officers.
According to authorities for officer safety, one officer discharged their firearm, striking one of the dogs. The dog later died. The three remaining dogs were seized as part of the ongoing investigation.
The victim was taken to Aurora Summit Hospital for treatment.
