Boston Red Sox left-hander Garrett Crochet gave Yankee Stadium little to cheer about Saturday afternoon.

The ace southpaw delivered seven overpowering innings in a 12-1 rout of the New York Yankees, keeping the crowd quiet while his team extended its winning streak in the Bronx. Crochet scattered five hits, walked one and struck out 11, his only blemish a Giancarlo Stanton solo homer.

Boston’s offense backed its ace early and often.

Trevor Story doubled home two runs in the third, then launched his 20th homer in the fifth, capping a three-RBI day. Roman Anthony and Alex Bregman added sacrifice flies in the fourth, providing more than enough cushion for Crochet’s dominance.
