LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The City of Laredo honored United States Marine Lance Corporal David Lee Espinoza on Saturday, August 23.

Mayor Dr. Victor D. Treviño, District 1 Council Member Gilbert Gonzalez, the family of Espinoza and dozens more gathered for the 4th Annual Memorial Walk.

The memorial took place at LBJ High School, where Espinoza attended.

Laredoans walked to remember his sacrifice, courage and the legacy he left behind.

Espinoza was one of the 13 service members who died on August 26, 2021, during the emergency evacuations in Kabul, Afghanistan.
