KIRBYVILLE, Texas — A Jasper County woman was arrested Friday night after allegedly threatening a man with a handgun, claiming to be a police officer, and detaining him on a public roadway, according to Sheriff Chuck Havard.

At about 8:30 p.m. Aug. 22, deputies responded to the 1200 block of County Road 536 in reference to a criminal trespass. When the deputy arrived, authorities said, Alishia Robin Blevins, 58, of Kirbyville, had detained a man sitting on the roadway in front of his vehicle.

Blevins told the deputy the man was an illegal immigrant and had trespassed on her property. However, investigators determined the victim never entered or remained on her property and was parked on a public road.
