A Soddy Daisy restaurant is picking up the pieces after a truck drove into their building Saturday evening.

Crash at Home Folks Family Restaurant

"What started as a little lunch date with my sweet family, ended in a terrifying scene," says bystander Lauren Serio.

Just as her family was leaving, the truck crashed right into the main entrance, directly where they were standing moments prior.

She tells Local 3 that the driver, an elderly gentleman, seems to be okay. Serio recalls seeing a woman on a stretcher, but it's unclear the extent of her injuries.

We've reached out to the Soddy Daisy Police Department to confirm more information.
