KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — It was time to play ball this Saturday with the return of the Kingsport Miracle League.
The league has been going on since around the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Renee Ensor, the Kingsport Parks and Recreation program organizer.
"I think parents and participants just really enjoy it because it's something different and something that they can actually be included in," Ensor said.
The event is specifically for children and adults with special needs. It included a game for people 17 years old and under, followed by a game for people 18 years old and above.
Will Hobbs, who played in the game, said that he's "been playing this league for 4 years, so yeah, I like it."
