MERCER, Pa. (WKBN) - Mercer football hosted Franklin in Week One with a dominant rushing attack at Mercer Area High School on Saturday night.

At last check, Mercer was leading 33-6 with 1:59 left in the fourth quarter. But the game was delayed when the lights went out.

Mustangs shut out the Black Knights, 21-0, at halftime. Mercer was led in the first half by Parker Puskar, who had multiple tackles for loss on defense and a 54-yard touchdown run.

Puskar also posted a 51-yard touchdown run in the end of the fourth quarter.

Mercer's Alex Lefteris also added two short-yardage touchdowns in the second quarter. Rider Chiappini also scored a 1-yard rushing touchd
